-Description

The first model of the Grand Seiko was born with the determination to "manufacture the world's finest wristwatch", and with all the component precision, assembly technology and adjustment techniques of Seiko.

Its catchphrase is "Accurate and matchless, a watch you'll be proud to own for a lifetime".

The design is very standard.

The caseback has a lion's mark medallion.

The design of lion medalion shows later type caseback.

The Grand Seiko logo at the bottom of the dial at 12 o'clock is applied, known as the "raised logo".

This feature is found on models produced from late 1961 onwards and is the most produced dial on Grand Seiko first.

The serial number indicates that this watch was produced at the end of 1963.

This watch comes with original paper, "rating certificate".

Since Seiko did not participate Swiss COSC at that time, they set its own inspection standards, which were more rigid than COSC.

A piece comes with paper is extremely rare in the current market.

So this is one of the best vintage Grand Seiko watch to start owning.

This watch was purchased from Mr. Yoshihiko Honda a.k.a BQ(@bqwatch) who is leading expert of vintage seiko.

All components and authenticity are checked by him as well.
