 -Description
IWC is an abbreviation for International Watch Company, and as you can see from the English company name, it is a watch manufacturer founded in 1868 by American Florentine Ariosto Jones.

It was created in the town of Schaffhausen on the German border with the aim of combining Swiss craftsmanship with modern American engineering.

Although they are also Swiss watchmakers, they have a different philosophy from French-speaking companies such as Geneva and the Joux Valley, and this is expressed in their watches.

This is the Yacht Club, one of IWC's vintage representative models.

A collection that debuted in 1967 and was considered a sportier model than the Ingenieur for professionals.

It now belongs to the sports watch category as part of the Portugieser line.

The vintage yacht club has a convenient size and a simple design that will not feel out of place in any outfit or situation.

The case design for this yacht club, which is extremely simple, is Gerald Genta.

Similar to the Omega C-line case he designed, the design that doesn't get caught on the shirt has a unique "gloss" and "sex appeal" while trimming off unnecessary things.

The crown is a fish-marked crown that indicates a waterproof case at the time.

The dial is a blue dial with a sunray finish. It looks very simple because it has no date.

There is some aging around the luminous paint, but overall the impression is that the condition is maintained.

Luminous paint remains tritium on both hands and dial.

The movement equipped with the

is a self-winding Cal.854B. It is an improved version of Cal.854.

This machine is characterized by its highly reliable Pellaton mechanism, which winds up the mainspring efficiently and has few failures even among vintage models.

The Pellaton system is an automatic winding mechanism developed by watchmaker Albert Pellaton, who was IWC's design manager in the 1950s.

This Cal.854B is the final model of the completed machine, which has the same basic design from the first Cal.85 to the final Cal.854.

The bracelet comes with a genuine IWC triple hard bracelet. The part number differs between the 6 o'clock position and the 12 o'clock position for Flash Fit. Although it is

, the appearance is almost the same, and the difference is to the extent that you can use it without discomfort even if you wear it.

The current length is about 16.5cm, and it comes with 2 frames, so it can be used up to 18cm.

Genuine vintage bracelets are becoming rare, so it's one of the points to include them.

Overhauled by Matsuno Tokeiten.

Windshield replacement and light polishing are performed during overhaul.

One year warranty.
