-Description

Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839. Taking advantage of overwhelming quality and technical capabilities, we are making watches that do not allow any compromise.

Together with Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, it is called one of the world's three major brands, the Big 3, but it is no exaggeration to say that it has established a special position among them.

In addition to continuing to be the world's top manufacturer, the number of watches produced is extremely small, so it is a brand that can be said to be synonymous with luxury watches.

The independence that runs through the family business and the reliability that all watches can be repaired create value as assets that can be passed down for generations.

This watch is a slightly rounded square case dress watch from around 1980.

The case material is 18K white gold.

Because it is a slightly small size of 26mm, it is a size that can be used by both men and women.

The dial is a blue dial with a sunray (sunburst) finish.

There is some aging in the lower right corner of the center, but the impression is that the color is very beautiful for a colored dial of this age.

You can check the aging part in the 10th photo.

In addition, the σ (sigma) mark is on both sides of SWISS at 6 o'clock on the dial.

This notation can be seen on watches from around 1973 to around 2000 by manufacturers that belonged to an organization called APRIOR, and indicates that precious metals such as gold are used for dials and indices.

It was put in for the purpose of " showing that it is a high-quality watch made in Switzerland in gold".

It is a specification that can be seen in the watches of five companies: Rolex, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, IWC, and Omega, but it is not included in all watches, so it is highly evaluated among collectors as a rarity.

The hand is a thick dauphine hand and is cut in a chevron shape for a three-dimensional effect.

The installed movement is a manual winding Cal.16-250.

It is a small-diameter machine that was used in gondolo and ladies watches of the same era.

In addition, this watch is a very rare one that comes with a warranty at the time of sale and a sales tag.

The serial number on the paper and tag matches what is engaraved on the movement.

Regarding the paper, the watch had a silver dial when it was originally shipped from Patek Philippe.

However, it was replaced with the current blue dial when or after it was sold in the authorized retailer

This is the case, although not often, with older watches from Patek and Vacheron.
