-Description

Vacheron Constantin is a watch brand founded in 1755 in Geneva, Switzerland.

It is considered to be the oldest watch brand in the world that has never been interrupted since its foundation.

This is a vintage watch with a very classic design from the 1940s.

The case is made of 18K yellow gold.

The size is 32mm in diameter, a small size typical of this age.

The teardrop lugs, which are the curvature of the lugs like drops, are the main feature of the case design.

The watch has a screw back caseback, which is quite rare for a watch from the 40s.

Furthermore, when the back cover is opened, it contains a middle cover, which is a feature of the watch's anti-magnetic construction, similar to military watches.

The dial is a two-tone silver dial with a felled outer circumference.

The inner dial is satin-finished, creating a difference in color.

The design is very classical with Arabic numerals indexes in multiples of three and an inner minute circle.

The hands are gold baton hands and the second hand is blued steel.

The movement is a manual wind Cal.466/B.

It is based on Jaeger-LeCoultre Cal.458 sub-seconds movement.

The corners of the smallest parts are chamfered and engraved to indicate that the accuracy has been adjusted for temperature differences.

The low beat of 18,000 bph gives this timepiece a sense of age and good old-fashioned style.

The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker. The case has not been polished in the service.
